Please read these terms carefully before using EduPilot. They set out your rights and responsibilities as a user of the platform.
By creating an account and using EduPilot, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. These terms apply to all users of the system, including students, administrators, and any other persons accessing the service.
EduPilot is an academic workflow management system developed as a final year project at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA). It uses Critical Path Method (CPM) to help students plan and prioritise their academic tasks. The platform also includes a mental health monitoring module designed to track and surface cognitive load patterns. EduPilot is provided free of charge for educational and research purposes.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account. EduPilot reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
You agree to use EduPilot only for lawful academic purposes. You must not: attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the system; interfere with or disrupt the platform or servers; upload or transmit any malicious code; use the platform to harass, abuse, or harm other users; or attempt to reverse-engineer any part of the system. We reserve the right to terminate access for any user who violates these conditions.
EduPilot and all its content, including source code, design, algorithms, and documentation, are the intellectual property of Adepitan Matthew Oluwadamilare and Adetoye Samuel Oluwaseyifunmi, submitted in partial fulfilment of a Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Systems at FUTA. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without explicit written permission from the authors.
We collect your name, email address, task data, and wellness log entries to provide the service. Your data is stored securely on our servers and is never sold to third parties. You retain ownership of your data and may request its deletion at any time. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for a full explanation of how we handle your personal information.
The mental health monitoring features in EduPilot are informational tools only. The stress index and wellness nudges are algorithmic estimates based on workload patterns and are not a substitute for professional mental health advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing significant distress, please seek support from a qualified mental health professional or your institution's student welfare services.
EduPilot is provided on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind. The authors do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or always available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the bottom of this page. Continued use of EduPilot after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
If you have questions about these terms, please contact the development team through the GitHub repository at github.com/oyedokunken/edupilot or via the contact email listed in the project documentation.
